Turn
over the pages of history and you will find the mention of clogs as a
footwear favorite of men of the 70s. Clogs were worn by men as protective clothing for the feet since they could withstand sharp and heavy objects and concentrated acid solutions. During the world war, men clogs were used as combat gear since they were ruggedly built and could withstand difficult terrains. However, clogs went out of use soon after with the advent of leather and synthetic made shoes.

After
a long hiatus, they came back in the ’70s and were worn by men without socks as a fashion accessory. The Swedish-styled clogs became highly popular as they came in different styles and designs with a wooden sole.
In the late ’90s and after that, clogs became a mainstay as fashionable footwear. New materials such as leather, suede, canvas,
rubber and even wool began to be used in the making of clogs.
The modern style of the Swedish clogs has lured men to buy them. Designers
have pulled up their socks to bring a new assortment of designs to
attract new wearers and hold back the old ones. The clogs have become
more attractive with the incorporation of buckles and use of newer
materials on the uppers and the edges.
The
comfort and durability factors have also been kept in mind. The soles of the men clogs are built from alder wood. The wood is treated adequately before fitting into the bases of the clogs. This pre-treatment dehydrates the wood and reduces the moisture content which in turn hardens the wood and makes it durable. Modern clogs for men have ample toe room which makes them extremely comfortable to wear. They do not constrict the toes allowing them to wiggle and move which helps the wearer to stand in it for long hours.

The Swedish clogs for men come in black and brown colors and are made with high-quality leather.
Also, the heels of men clogs are not chunky like those of women.
Clogs
can be worn with casual and informal outfits. Whether you are wearing clogs with a pair of trousers or shorts, it will suit you perfectly.
You can pair up your clogs in the summer as well as in the winter season since they suit all types of dresses. You can team your black clogs with relaxed fit denims and a white tee or you can wear a pair of tailored trousers with a crisp shirt. Since Swedish clogs for men have a classic appeal, they will not lose their charm for many years to come.
