My First Experience with Clogs for Women

I had seen my friends wear clogs, but I had never bought a pair for myself.
It was not like I disliked them; I just didn’t think they could possibly match the level of comfort provided by my trusty leather heels. And I have a penchant to buy things only when I need them.

Last year, I went on a holiday to England with my friends. One of the cities we visited was Manchester, a city famous for heavy rainfall. I had packed multiple sets of clothes, accessories and shoes for our 5 day trip.

On our second day, when we took to the streets of Manchester, I didn’t realize it had rained heavily the night before and wore my leather heels. Needless to say, the shoes were fully drenched due to the water on the streets.

Thankfully, I had two extra pairs, but neither of them were water-resistant. I didn’t want to ruin any of them as the rains showed no signs of stopping anytime soon. My friends didn’t have to go through the same ordeal as me as they had brought their clogs for the trip. The clogs that my friends wore had a wooden base that was water-resistant, which allowed them to move around freely irrespective of the weather.

I decided it was the right time to get a pair of clogs for myself.

We went to a shopping district in lower Manchester to look for clogs. I was not even sure if they sold clogs in England.
One of my friends finally found us a retro-looking shoe store.

Thankfully, the store had a good collection of clogs for women.

As there were a lot of designs and colors to choose from, we spent nearly an hour in there.
Even my friends bought a pair each.

After coming back from our trip, I added a few more pairs of clogs to my collection of shoes, each with a different color to match my outfits.
