How To Raise Your Style-Quotient Up A Few Notches With Clog Boots?

Keeping yourself up-to-date with fashion can be a quite consuming thing as well as frustrating. Fashion is evolving at the blink of an eye. What’s in fashion today may be old school tomorrow. However, fashion recycles itself quite often…it’s almost comes back like a boomerang. The saying-what goes around comes around- chimes well with fashion.

What was once worn at one point of time, will inevitably be worn in the coming years. The story is similar with clogs. Clogs were the go-to footwear of the 70s. They found favour with factory and mill workers since they protected their feet during their hard endeavors. And all of a sudden they lost their charm and their presence in the ensuing decades. A prominent footwear went into the dumps.

As luck would have it, clogs caught the eye of leading fashion labels and were given a reincarnation by fashioning them into a new avatar. Clogs shone like never before in glitzy fashion parades and fashionistas gaped at them in awe as they cradled the feet of models dancing down the ramp. Clogs graduated from being run-of-the-mill footwear to a fashion accessory.

For long, women have donned and loved stilettos and high-heeled footwear. These cosmetically attractive shoes were the choice of pump of every woman, though they came with their fair share of discomfort to the feet. For a fashionista who has worn elite shoes since her heydays, settling for a dowdy alternative is asking too much for.

Today’s women consider footwear more as an embellishment for the feet or a form of personal expression than protection from natural elements. Though women won’t deny that they hate wearing high heels, they won’t mind having a footwear which marries comfort with style. And clog boots are exactly that and much more.

Clog boots have generated a lot of interest among style-conscious women since they chimed well with their sensibilities. These wooden boots not only accentuate the aesthetics of a woman but also provide their feet ample comfort so that they can strut in them all day long without experiencing any discomfort. The anatomically contoured and cushioned foot-bed, arch support and shock absorption have made the wooden clog boots the darling of many-a-woman.

Pair those funky clog boots with slim or skinny denims for a timeless look. You can also team them with an overcoat or a leather jacket and tread off to office on a casual Friday and make yourself stand out from the maddening crowd.

How To Become A Trend-Setter With Clogs?

Clogs are a traveller’s delight. Wearing this classic piece of footwear you can saunter around a lonely beach or explore the wilderness of a picnic spot or navigate sands in a desert safari. This humble, chunky shoe was a staple footwear of gardeners and factory workers alike in the 70s since they provided superior protection to the feet from harsh weather and outdoor conditions. They were hip in the 70s, but diminished in popularity towards the later decades and eventually went into retirement.

But towards the first decade of the 21st century, Swedish clogs assumed a fashionable reputation thanks to the efforts of leading brands Victor & Rolf who pulled them out of retirement and gave them an elite fashion status.

Since then clogs have come back into the mainstream. Women took no time to have a preserve of this new-fangled fashion trend.  The savvy wooden shoes quickly sauntered onto the feet of fashionistas and they couldn’t get enough of them. Such was the popularity that chic women can’t help but garner dozens of pairs to satisfy their sartorial craze.

Clogs gained so much currency within a few years that they toppled other fashion footwear like stilettos, ballerinas, mules from their positions and started to rule the fashion footwear charts. Even manufacturers of fashion footwear wanted to cash in on the popularity and started fashioning clogs in a slew of avatars.

The sturdy combination of wooden base and leather uppers in various colors and designs make it much more stable than a wedge and provide ample toe-room than a loafer, making it the most comfortable footwear for women.

After becoming a surprise hit, clogs are started decking every woman’s feet in a rainbow of colors. How Clogs Help Women To Rock Any Outfit Effortlessly?

What goes out of fashion, comes back into style eventually. This phrase chimes well with the comeback of the hallowed clogs of the 70’s. Clogs were foot-favorites in those times and were worn by peasants and milk-maids as they provided excellent insulation for the feet. Down the years, their popularity faded and these wooden shoes lost their existence. Clog sandals broke into the fashion scene again in the late 2000s with all bells and whistles in a brand new avatar and people gaped at those stylish yet simple shoes with admiration and awe.

Clog sandals conjured up a fashion trend and soon dominated footwear shelves. Since shoes are one of the most important fashion accessories, clog sandals became firm-favorites of fashion conscious women. They fell in love with those wooden shoes not only because of their funky designs and vibrant colors but also their comfort. With their unique wooden soles, women’s clog sandals help tone your legs, improve your posture and reduce stress on the joints and calf muscles, thus providing relief from lumbar and lower back pain.

Women always have a fascination for fashionable shoes and clog sandals perfectly fit the bill. The shoes are ergonomically designed which keep your feet in place and maintain their shape even after hours of use. The upper part of the shoes is made of durable leather which gives it a premium appearance. Since leather is not prone to wear and tear easily, you won’t need to replace such a classic piece of footwear after some months of use. Just a little bit of cleaning or brushing them off is enough and will help them look great and last for several months.

Clog sandals come in a gamut of styles and colors and women who are sassy enough to rock in them will love those styles. These shoes come in the open back, closed front, open front, and strapped versions. The designs come in bright solid colors including red, black, burgundy, yellow, to name a few. Such classic colors work well with any outfit, be it with skinny jeans or a flowing short skirt.

The Journey of Clogs Sandals in Life of Women

Like any other fashion item that has held a significant place in the industry, clogs have been through a long journey. These shoes primarily started off as peasant and labor shoes for mine worker and for the ones who worked in farms. The idea behind making these sturdy pairs of shoes was to keep the feet protected from random bites and hurting the workers while they slogged in these areas. The soles of these shoes were made of wood to ensure that there was sturdiness in the footwear and the leather uppers protected the feet from getting ruined in the dust and water. It also allowed the footwear to breathe.

With the advent of technologically advanced machinery, the use of manual labor reduced over a period of time and this led to the diminished use of clogs. The uprise of clogs happened again later when a number of designers took up this peasant footwear and magically reformed the way they looked to make sure that clogs looked better and clog sandals were widely accepted by women. The design houses took it upon themselves to hire people whom could skillfully make clogs sandals for women as pass them off as radiant options for footwear.

Meanwhile, doctors and therapists across the world discovered that clogs sandals for women were beneficial in a number of ways. Even if they were worn for the long duration they did not make women uncomfortable. The platform heels were made in a manner that the posture of the women was improved greatly. The load on the knees is divided uniformly and thus ensures that the hours spent standing do not make them uncomfortable at all.

The designers have brought about a variety of changes in the actual ways the clogs were. But the basics still remain the same. There is an array of colors and styles of clogs that you can choose to match with the outfits that you would want to wear. Moreover, no matter what the style of clothing you feel like wearing clogs will always be a good match for them.

How I Came To Love My First So Called Unfashionable Wooden Clogs?

Since I got out of college, I was in desperate need of getting self-dependent and pay for my own tuition for further studies I wanted to pursue. I guess this thought comes into everyone’s mind when they get past teenage years. I knew this, as it wasn’t easy for me to get a job as my age stood as a hindrance and no vacancies showed up.

This is when my mother came as a saving grace and told me about her first job. She was a waiter at a chic restaurant. This wasn’t what I was looking forward to as a career option, but I decided to give it a shot. So I went ahead and applied to a number of restaurants in the vicinity and got a call from two.

As I put on my work cap, I thought I would own a restaurant like that one day. I could see myself managing a lot of things around and the manager also praised me on a number of points. All was going well until I started feeling physically exhausted at the end of the day and my calves ached badly.

I thought this would go away but it really slowed down my working ability. This is when my manager suggested I should get myself a pair of wooden clogs that were on sale in the market. I thought that those clogs wouldn’t suit me as they were hefty and somewhat unfashionable.

I avoided this until I had to visit a doctor and to my surprise, he even suggested me to get the same pair of shoes. This is when my mom intervened and told me that it was a compulsion now. She told me to take the day off and took me to the wooden clogs store nearby. I walked in feeling uneasy about what I was about to experience.

But today I can firmly say that those pair of clogs has saved me from the bad aches which I had experienced earlier. Clogs are perfect for those who have jobs that involve standing for long hours. The perfect arch and the solid soles give you a comfortable platform to walk on. Moreover, it supports the back, unlike the heels that I wore that was slowly killing my back.
